On 7th June, 2010, “magician” Steve Jobs launched iPhone 4G or Fourth Generation of iPhone. Most of us are all aware of iPhone, so let’s check some of the features of iPhone 4G at a quick glance. There were several rumors before the official launch of iPhone 4G, but here are the actual features of iPhone 4G and its specifications.

Features & Specifications

The first feature that deserves to be mentioned is its powerful battery and upgraded camera system. Powered by A4 CPU, iPhone 4G offers 3.5 inch screen of 960×640 resolutions partnered with dual mics and HD video recording & audio capabilities. Other features and specifications include:

  • iPhone 4G is 9.3mm thick, which means it is 24% thinner from iPhone 3G.
  • 326 ppi display, four times more than previous iPhone.
  • Front-facing video chat camera
  • Split buttons for volume and other buttons like power, mute are all metallic.

Another interesting feature is that the hardware components are all in the same chip thereby consuming less battery. Apple iPad: The New Kid on the Block

There is a new kid on the block – bigger than iPhone but smaller than netbook. Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple launched the much awaited Apple iPad on 28th Jan’2010. So, what is exactly iPad?

It is a touch screen tablet allowing users to conduct host of activities like web browsing, e-mail, play music, watch videos, movie and television and store photos. Almost every single app of Apple is available and is tailored to fit to the bigger screen of iPad. Like the other technological revolutionary electronic device by Apple, iPad users can read books with the service of iBooks, similar to iTunes service. The tablet weighs only 650 gms and 0.5 inch thin with 9.7 inch display. Battery life is 10 hours and offers standby mode of one month. It also has speaker, microphone, 30-Pin Connector. The entire device is supported with Apple made peripherals. Presently, Apple enthusiast can get three versions of iPad-16GB, 32GB and 64GB by March’2010 and all are WiFi enabled.

But few limitations

Apple iPad suffers from few limitations like it does not allow users to run multiple applications if compared to iPhone. The iPad also lacks camera thereby limiting the options of video calling and instant chatting. With unlimited number of websites available, flash multimedia is a dominant technology, iPad does not support this technology preventing users from gaining access to site content. All we can say is Apple iPad is neither a phone, nor a laptop or music player. It can be best described by its potential buyers only.
